Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the L3git software, the l3dev.com website, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by L3git Development ("L3git", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, activating, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. License
Subject to these Terms and your payment of any applicable fees, L3git grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the L3git desktop software on the number of machines/seats covered by your license, solely for your internal business or personal use.
You may not:
- copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or host the software as a service for third parties;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code, except to the limited extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, branding, or licensing/activation mechanisms, or attempt to circumvent seat limits or license enforcement;
- rebrand, "white-label", or otherwise present the software (or a modified version of it) as your own product; or
- use the software to build a competing product.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by L3git. The software is licensed, not sold. A free trial, if offered, is provided for evaluation only and may be limited or withdrawn at any time.
2. Your code & content
L3git generates standard test code (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium, REST Assured) into projects on your own machine. You own the code and test artifacts you generate. We claim no ownership over your projects, tests, recordings, credentials, or data, and (except for anonymous, aggregated diagnostics you cannot be identified from) we do not receive them — the software runs locally. You are solely responsible for your code and content, for reviewing it, and for any consequences of running it. See Sections 8–11.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. Among other things, you must not use the Service to violate any law, infringe any rights, or harm, probe, or disrupt any system you are not authorized to test.
4. Security-testing features
The Service includes features that can send test traffic to, scan, or probe APIs and systems (including a security scanner). You may only direct these features at systems you own or are explicitly authorized in writing to test. Unauthorized scanning, probing, or testing of systems is illegal in many jurisdictions. You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary authorizations and for all activity you conduct with the Service. L3git is not responsible for, and disclaims all liability arising from, your use of these features.
5. AI & third-party keys
Optional AI features require you to supply your own third-party API key (e.g., Anthropic). L3git does not provide, and you may not use L3git's own keys or credentials. You are responsible for your keys, for all usage and charges incurred under them, and for compliance with the third party's terms. AI output may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing it. L3git is not liable for any third-party service, its availability, its output, or any costs you incur.
6. Accounts, seats & keys
License keys and account access are personal to you or your organization and tied to your seat count. You are responsible for keeping keys and credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Sharing keys beyond your licensed seats, or circumventing seat/activation controls, is a material breach of these Terms. Online activation may transmit limited technical information (see our Privacy Policy) to enforce seat limits.
7. Billing, renewals & refunds
Paid plans are sold as subscriptions billed in advance. Payments are processed by our third-party merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy), whose terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase; L3git does not store your full payment-card details. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date through the billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the end of the paid term. Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, fees are non-refundable and partial-term refunds are not provided. Taxes may apply. We may change prices for future terms with notice.
8. Use at your own risk
You use the Service entirely at your own risk. Software test automation involves inherent risks. You are responsible for validating all generated code, for backing up your projects and data, and for testing in appropriate, authorized environments. You acknowledge that the Service may contain bugs, may produce incorrect or incomplete results, may fail, and may cause loss of data or work. L3git is not responsible for any misuse of the Service, or for any lost, corrupted, deleted, broken, or incorrect code, tests, projects, configurations, data, or results, however caused.
9. No warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, or statutory. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, L3GIT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL L3GIT (OR ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SUPPLIERS) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, CODE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN ALL CASES, L3GIT'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO L3GIT FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR (B) USD $50. THESE LIMITS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless L3git and its owners, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your code, tests, data, or content; (c) your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; (d) your unauthorized scanning, testing, or probing of any system; or (e) your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access or license immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or fail to pay. On termination, your license ends and you must stop using and delete the software. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 2 and 8–15) survive termination. Test code you already generated and own remains yours.
13. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date shows the current version. Material changes take effect when posted, and your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE / COUNTRY — set your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you and L3git submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and L3git regarding the Service.
